The 24 Days of "Fitmas"
The holidays are officially in full swing! It is never easy to stay on track with our nutrition and fitness goals during this time of year. Looking for a little motivation this season? Join the “Fitmas” Challenge!
How does it work?
This challenge involves a little arts and crafts + exercising!
I will send you a worksheet with 24 short workouts. All workouts can be done at home and mostly involve body weight exercises. They can be performed in (appropriately) 10 minutes with the exception of several cardio activities that are prescribed for 20 minutes.
Cut each of the exercise routines out (you can use fancy shaped cutters and/or paper from the craft store). Fold the papers, mix them up and place inside of a mason jar.
Starting December 1st, you will pull a piece of paper out each day and complete your round of exercises. Stay happy and healthy this holiday season!
The routines are applicable for all fitness levels. If you are super active, perhaps you may complete these workouts in addition to your usual fitness routine! If you are a beginner- you might need to reduce the number of rounds and/or reps recommended. Maybe, you will want to turn up the intensity by increasing rounds, reps and adding weights. You can even extend this challenge by starting earlier or ending later + incorporating more i.e. rest days, yoga days and/or stretching/mobility work days.
Side Note:
I am a Registered Dietitian and a fitness enthusiast. However, I am not a Certified Trainer. This is meant to be a fun activity to keep you moving during the holiday season. Do not push yourself beyond what you are capable of doing. If you need a day off - take it. Again, these are just suggested exercises. If you want to tweak anything based on your fitness history, expertise etc. - by all means, do what is best for you!
