Spicy Winter Orange-Cranberry Protein Shake


Happy New Year!

Below is a recipe for a hearty winter protein shake. Perfect for breakfast as well as a pre or post workout meal replacement. The shake contains quite a few spices ( cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger) to boost immunity and fight inflammation during the cold winter months. It is also packed with protein to support muscle repair and promote satiety.

Recipe:

Makes 1 serving

1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder

1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)

1/2 cup fresh cranberries

1/2 cup blackberries

1 tbsp orange juice

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ginger

* ice cubes as desired

Directions:

Blend ingredients until smooth. Serve and enjoy!
